By accessing or using the services provided by The Family Caregiver Consultant, you agree to the following terms.
The Family Caregiver Consultant provides non-clinical consulting and virtual observation services only.
Virtual observation services consist of:
Scheduled remote visual observation
Optional limited verbal interaction if approved by the family
Written documentation and reporting of observed activity
Services do not include hands-on care, medical services, supervision, safety monitoring, or emergency response.
We are not a medical provider, home care agency, or emergency service.
Our services do not:
Provide medical advice or diagnoses
Replace in-home caregivers or family supervision
Ensure safety or prevent injury
Monitor for emergencies or dangerous conditions
Families remain fully responsible for care decisions, safety planning, and emergency response arrangements.
If approved by the family, observers may engage in brief, supportive, non-directive verbal interaction with the client.
Observers do not provide:
Instructions related to movement, medication, or care
Guidance during unsafe or emergency situations
Verbal interaction may be limited or discontinued if it causes distress.
In rare instances where an observer visually witnesses a clear and immediate emergency during scheduled observation hours, the observer may:
Contact local emergency services
Notify the designated family emergency contact
This does not create an ongoing duty to detect, prevent, or respond to emergencies and does not constitute supervision or medical care.
Families are responsible for:
Installing and maintaining all cameras and internet services
Ensuring lawful placement of cameras
Obtaining consent from all individuals in view
We are not responsible for service interruptions caused by technology failure, power outages, or internet disruptions.
Observation and consulting services are provided on a best-effort basis.
We do not guarantee outcomes, safety, behavior changes, or specific results.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Family Caregiver Consultant shall not be liable for:
Injury, loss, or damage occurring during or outside observation hours
Acts or omissions of clients, family members, caregivers, or third parties
Technology failures or missed observations
Either party may terminate services in accordance with the service agreement or billing terms in place at the time of enrollment.
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which the business is registered.
